Forms of discrimination in society

Society, Society for me is a place we, people belong and live in.  A place that have a harmony, peace and love. But, is this really the society that we are in? In our present time today, is our society have peace? Have harmony and love? For me, I guess not. Our world changed; and society does. people does. There is no constant in this world but change. From our characteristics in culture, Our aspects and as well as our history. As these things changes, many point of views  are lost and may never be found again. Our freedoms and rights are being tested and sometimes it is taken away from us. Sometimes, as our society changes, we encountered hate and violence, discrimination between black and whites and state of our life, you are discriminated if you are poor and you are praised if you are rich and powerful.
Discrimination is spread all over the world up to this present time. Usually, the victims of this discrimination are those people who belong to the LGBT Community or also known as the Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgender. These people are not only discriminated but also they are deprived by their rights and freedom in terms of having a job, a decent job. To be accepted to be loved, and to be treated equally.  Aside from the LGBT, Some are discriminated because of their skin color, raise, physical appearance, social standing and moral beliefs. Racism is a major form a discrimination prejudice, violence, discrimination or oppression are definition of Racism. It is a form of discrimination that is extremely hypocritical as everyone is different and there is no “superior race’’.

Racism is sometimes the reason of terrorist attacks. Hearing about an attack on a group of people of their place of dwelling is a common event and rarely shocking anymore. Attacks are made simply because of hate or because someone is different. These attacks appear on many levels and in many forms. It can start as someone physically beating someone, killing sprees and wars. Labeling is a horrible thing. A person will label another person on how they look, talk, act or simply the financial standing of themselves or family labeling divides people. Everyone is equal, yet different. Difference is what makes the world is changing in a good way, however that change for the better isn’t good enough and it is being smothered by the horrible events which take place. Humanitarian efforts are being forged throughout the world to try to change things. Change is inevitable. It has always happened and always will.
